Wedding Rings Our Wedding Story

Wedding Plans

Rosie, Mary, and Adina

Our wedding ceremony was June 29, 1996, at 2:00 PM, at Thurmont United Methodist Church near my parents' home in Frederick, MD. The Reverend Anthony Carr of Asbury United Methodist Church in Hagerstown, MD, conducted the ceremony. Tony graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary in May, 1995. Joe's sister, Mary Hatch, oversaw the selection of music for the ceremony, and she and two of her younger sisters sang beautifully!

Our formal pictures were taken between the wedding and reception. Getting into the Limo Following the ceremony and pictures, Joe and I traveled to the reception in a limousine provided by Thom Beckley's Endless Summer Limousine Service. Davis Photographers snapped pictures throughout the day, and flowers were provided by Sharpe's Flowers in Frederick, MD, and The Flower Cottage in Fairfield, PA.

Wedding Cake - Monogram Magnificence

The reception was held at Ski Liberty, PA. Both wedding and reception were semi-formal, and we chose amethyst and pure white for our wedding colors. Clothing for the wedding was provided by Frederick Bridal Center of Frederick, MD. The Carriage House restaurant in Emmitsburg, MD, catered the reception. The cake was provided by Wedding Cakes by Veronica of Taneytown, MD, in the style of "Monogram Magnificence," and the flavor was a luscious red velvet. It was still quite tasty a year later! Music was provided at the reception by Thomas Music Service of Frederick, MD. About 120 people attended our wedding and reception.
