| One of the smartest things we bought before Rebekah was born was the Evenflo about
face front-carrier. Losing weight wouldn't be enough motivation to get me walking if
I had to carry Rebekah in my arms for the whole time. But once I put her in the
carrier and strap her on to me, I'm ready to go. She really seems to enjoy the walks
too. This week was exciting - Rebekah's neck strength is good enough that she can face forward in the carrier now. The only problem is that I can't see her face when she's in this position. One day this week she had spit up during our walk and I didn't know until I felt her chin and it was wet! Looks like I'll need to start taking an extra burp cloth and a mirror along with us on our walks from now on, because she tends to drool a lot now too. We usually walk at least a mile to a mile and a half - a good 20-30 minute walk. Some days I know I've overdone it almost as soon as I've turned around to come home, but I think the challenge is good for me. Rebekah usually falls asleep sometime during the second half of our walk. My major concern taking her our is that she'll be too cold or that we're inhaling too much exhaust. |
