| Rebekah loves to smile. Ever since we saw her first smile a couple weeks ago,
she's been smiling more and more. Sometimes the sound of a toy will set her off into
a smile. Other times the sound of my voice will do the trick. When we took her
out to a pizza place with some of Joe's co-workers this week, one of the guys, Bud, held
her and had her smiling at him too! She really has fun smiling when we do the mimic game. Sometimes she'll start it, and sometimes I will. One of us sticks a tongue out and the other mimics the action. It's really a lot of fun, and sometimes Daddy joins in too! I laugh and laugh and try my hardest to encourage her in this game because I know it's good practice for months down the road when she starts mimicking words and phrases as she learns to talk. My only concern, of course, is that she'll develop a habit of sticking her tongue out all the time! |
