For once we had weekend when I was actually feeling good!  No plugged ducts, no breast infection, and I'm finally getting some energy back!  We also discovered how beautiful autumn in Georgia is.  The weather was so perfect over the weekend we just had to get out and enjoy it.
On Saturday we took Rebekah on her first picnic, which she mostly slept through.   We went through Checkers' drive-thru and drove the mile or so to the nearest park and picnicked in the picnic shelter.  The air and sunshine felt so good!
On Sunday after church, we were craving more fresh air, so we set off to the Kennesaw Battlefield (grabbing Burger King take-out on the way) and picnicked in a field shaded by some trees.  We had so much fun observing other families with kids older than Rebekah who were batting balls, catching frisbees, and tossing footballs around.  We daydreamed of the time when we'll be able to teach Rebekah how to do all of those things.   Rebekah didn't sleep through this whole thing.  We actually changed her diaper and fed her while sitting in the field!
On the way back home we stopped at Target and picked up a sheet for Rebekah's crib (one that's actually made for a crib).  We also got six new bottles in 3 different colors for her.  And while we were in that section, we couldn't ignore the toys!   Rebekah also came home from this trip with a new starfish toy that rattles, crinkles, and squeaks...and a butterfly whose legs attatch to things like the carseat handle.  The butterfly's wings crinkle and the head rattles.
