September 16

Last week the lactation consultant told us Rebekah should have about 12 ounces of milk based on her weight. Well, I am now expressing up to 16 ounces for her each day, and she's drinking nearly all of it!

After yesterday morning's episode with the co-sleeper, I have temporarily given up on getting her to sleep in it. Today, she's sleeping in her carseat, and I'm taking it easy. The big thing on the agenda is washing a load of Rebekah's things. I never knew how quickly you could go through cloth diapers when the baby wears disposable ones! Really, the cloth diapers have worked so great as drip-catchers and burp cloths at feeding time, and I'm glad we bought a bunch of them before Rebekah was born.

Speaking of eating...today broke all the records. Rebekah and I matched each other...I expressed and she drank a whopping 21 ounces! How in the world will I be able to keep up with her if she keeps demanding so much?

One extra highlight of the day...the remainder of Rebekah's umbilical cord stump fell off, and she's got a bona fide belly button now!
